Window Picture Frames

I seen this idea from a couple of magazines and thought it was too cute! My uncle remodels homes for a living and gives me all of the old windows that he takes out. There are so many ideas to re-use old windows that the possibilities are endless! Here are a couple of things I've done so far.

I dolled up this old window and gave as a gift to a friend at her wedding.

This is the scrapped panel for one of the panes. Her new last name starts with an 'S' and her wedding was in 2010. I reccommended for her to put black and white or sepia wedding/engagement pics in the other panes.

This is the window I dolled up for my home. I got the monogram and text from Uppercase Living and put sepia photos of my husband and my wedding.

I hung the window on the wall using the 'teeth' picture hangers from like Lowes. We nailed them in the back of the frame then hung it on our wall.

Some people leave the window antiqued and unpainted, but my living room is decorated with brown and aqua, so I painted the fram to match. The ribbon is purely for decoration and does not keep the frame on the wall.

This is another craft I created. I got the idea from a catalog. I bought MDF board from Hobby Lobby and painted it white. I then stamped turquoise designs on the front and used dark brown paint on the sides to make it look distressed. I bought the letters from Uppercase Living. I bought the crystal knobs from Lowes and installed them into the wall and hung the boards from dark brown ribbon.

I absolutely love this piece! The stamped design and the colors go perfect with my living room!
